Voice calls and access to external services: new functions in Viber

The latest update of Viber will significantly expand the functional capabilities of the messenger. Users of Android and iOS devices will be able to share the content from other services in the chat, make voice calls and many other things.

Five new features in Viber

1. Support of external services

Messenger users can search for content on such resources as YouTube, GIPHY, Spotify, etc. and send it in chat without leaving it. All websites that are available for information search are displayed after you tap the search icon.

2. A button to find GIFs

A button that allows finding GIFs can be found near the text entry field. To speed up the search, you can enter keywords.

3. Quick sticker search

Owners of iOS devices obtained the possibility to quickly find the desired sticker last year. Now this feature is available to Android users.

4. Voice calls

Zero balance in Viber Out is not the reason to forget about communication with friends. Developers added the option of making voice calls through the application. You will be able to call users that also have the installed messenger.

If you refill the Viber Out credit balance, calls to mobile phones throughout Ukraine will be available for 2.9 UAH per minute, and calls to landline phones – 0.70 UAH.

5. Inviting unregistered friends to the group chat

Even if your friend does not have Viber, you can invite him to the group chat. By the way, now there is a possibility to reply with a sticker in the notification window. Earlier users had to enter the application to do it.

Thus, updated Viber has become even more user-friendly and engaging. Users will receive access to new features within several days.
