Estée Lauder developed AR bot for beauty industry
Estée Lauder offers a new service to its clients – use a bot recommendation while choosing an appropriate lipstick shade.
In May, Estée Lauder started cooperating with ModiFace that is focused on AR services development. The partnership bore fruit – an interactive AR and AI app for brand products testing.
Estée Lauder chatbot can:
- find lipstick shades that perfectly match an individual person’s skin tone;
- define a perfect lipstick shade for a specific wardrobe and image;
- test selected lipstick shades by laying them over an uploaded photo.
According to the company Head Stephane de La Faverie, platforms like the Facebook Messenger are the most comfortable communication channel between beauty brands and their clients. With the Messenger, users can find, try and buy new brand products online. Estée Lauder is determined at using cutting-edge AR technologies further on, so it is likely to offer a service of eye shadow, rouge, mascara and other products testing.
